Yes we are taking new patients with a variety of symptoms. ie: Chronic Fatigue, GI, Hormone Replacement Therapy and Thyroid issues. We also offer Alternative IV Therapies for multiple problems.

Integrative Medicine Associates is not contracted with any insurance companies. We are considered an Out of Network Provider. At the end of your office visit, IMA will provide an itemized statement with all of the date of service CPT and ICD 10 codes. All of this information will make it easier for you and the insurance companies for reimbursement.

No. Unfortunately, the excessive paperwork and phone time required for communicating with Medicare and Medicaid in order to get claims submitted and paid was such a drain on our resources that we were forced to give up these coverages. Patients with Medicare and Medicaid may sign a private contract with the clinic and receive care, but they are responsible for paying for services themselves.

Yes. We call you at the home number you provide, two business days before your appointment. If we reach a voice mail or answering machine, we leave a message. If we reach a person and you are not available, we can leave a message with them unless you have advised us otherwise. If there is no answer and no machine or voice mail, we are not usually able to place a second call, and you would not receive a reminder message.

We accept returns of any unopened supplement within 30 days of purchase for credit on your account. If you?re a patient of IMA, and you don’t tolerate a supplement we recommended, we’ll accept its return.

We have a 48 hour cancellation policy. If we do not receive a 48-hour advance notice, a fee equal to the office visit will be charged. If we are not in the office, please leave your information on our answering machine 48 hours in advance. If the cancellation is due to an emergency or illness, it will be up to the provider as to whether to charge the fee or not. We do call you two days before your appointment to remind you of the visit.

No. Unless you are requesting a change in your prescription, you need to call the pharmacy. If there is no authorization for a refill, they will fax the clinic and we will respond with authorization or an explanation of why it is refused. Please be aware of how much medication you have left and call for refills several days before you will need it. We need a minimum of 48 hours’ notice for the process to result in a filled prescription ready to be picked up. Please aim for 72 hours’ notice or more, for your benefit as well as ours.

PAP tests are recommended yearly, but insurance companies will not pay for them unless it has been at least one year and one day since the last test. We try to monitor this for our patients, but we cannot catch them all. Please call us and ask the date of your last PAP if you do not know, then schedule accordingly.

Our payment policy is cash, check or bankcard at the time of service.

Each patient should check with his/her insurance carrier to determine eligibility and to clarify insurance coverage. Most private insurance companies pay only a portion of the medical charges, and some will not cover services at all.

If Medicare or D.S.H.S. is your primary insurance, you will need to sign a private contract with Dr. Corell. The contract states that you understand Dr. Corell has opted out of the Medicare and D.S.H.S. programs. This means we cannot bill Medicare or D.S.H.S., nor can you, for the services rendered from this office. If you have a secondary insurance, we will provide you a copy of the opt out letter, so you can seek reimbursement through your secondary insurance.

In order to serve you better and keep the cost of medical care down, we have developed an efficient appointment system. However, our cost of providing care increases greatly when people fail to keep scheduled appointments or cancel at the last minute. We make every effort to respect the time reserved for the people we serve and ask for the same courtesy in return. Please help us control our costs by being on time for your appointment or giving us 48 hours notice if there is a need to cancel, or you will be charged the full price of the appointment you missed, and your insurance will not cover this fee.

Please be aware that as of August 1, 2010, all female patients that elect to have their Hormone Replacement Therapy prescribed through our office will be required to maintain their annual exams (pelvic/pap, breast exam, etc.) and mammograms through our office or if you choose to see a GYN of your choice, IMA will need copies of the progress note from the doctor, Pap results, and a copy of most recent mammography. This is very important to maintain to continue HRT Medications.

We no longer prescribe narcotic medications as of June 2011. For all other controlled medications, you must come to the office and pick up the script. If you need to send a family member or friend, please call us with their name. We will ask for their ID when they com pick up the prescription. New Guidelines require all patients taking narcotics, muscle relaxers, sleep aids and benzo’s, you must be seen every 3 months.

For our patients? convenience, we do sell nutritional supplements and homeopathics, which are recommended by our healthcare providers. If you chose to purchase from us, you need to be aware of our no return policy on opened and used products. We will, however, refund on unopened products if returned within 30 days of purchase date.

Dr. Corell does not work with hospitalized patients but would be happy to assist you with specialty consultation. We may not be available for consultation after hours. In the event of an emergency, please utilize Deaconess or the emergency facility of your choice.
